When the grandfather of YouTupe personalities, Geriatric 1927, posted a
video dismissing the “scantily clad ladies” proliferating on the
new video sharing site, LiveVideo.com, I thought he meant it when he
said, “I won’t be going there.”

But as LiveVideo began offering YouTubers who had a significant number of
subscribers financial incentives to post on LiveVideo, Geriatric 1927
suddenly changed his mind with no explaination.

LiveVideo seems to be approaching the phenomena of video sharing as an
opportunity for product placement, stealth marketing campaigns,
and old fashion pay per post payola. The site appears to be a rip off of YouTube in every way except for the low
numbers of people posting there and the relaxed restrictions on
soft-core porn.

BetterBadNews panelists were shocked, puzzled and amazed to see the video of Bill Gates and Justin Timberlake performing a public act of mutual mis-conceptualization onstage at the consumer electronics trade show (CES 2007) in Las-Vegas.

Timberlake is caught on video with the billionaire marketing geek accepting payola in exchange for a personal appearance and product endorsement.

To his credit Timberlake had trouble remembering his lines but how long can pop celebrities like Justin Timberlake risk being exposed as the fake payola buddies of their paymasters before earning the derision of their fans?
